answers to some questions?

jonboy has asked me to answer a few rand0m questions so here goes......

1. In your informed (oilfield worker) opinion are we paying too much at the pump for fuel?
For twenty plus years oil has been relatively cheap here in Texas. During those lean years the industry has suffered and just barely (some didn't) survived. Now that it is a true supply and demand market (middle east is now going on artificial lift) I don't think we will ever see 30$ bbl oil again.
Although I do believe there should be more parity from town to town. In Big Sprung, we pay almost .20 cents a gallon more than Midland. And their fuel is trucked from our refinery.

2.ARE WE IN DANGER OF USING UP ALL OF OUR NATURAL RESOURCES AND SHOULD WE PUT MORE EMPHASIS ON ALTERNATIVE FUELS??
Yes to both questions. Hydrogen vehicles may save our bacon. But personally I am more worried about fresh water than oil. I believe America should concentrate on Desalinization of ocean water as relief on our ecosystem. Have you priced drinking water by the gallon? Add up what those little bottles cost!

3HAVE YOU EVER RUN ACROSS DEWAINE WHITE (KEY ENERGY SALES)??
No but he is a good friend of my sister, Janie, from soundingforth.

4. WHAT IS YOUR RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND AND YOUR STANCE ON ORGANIZED RELIGION?
I was raised Episcopalian, but have since gone shopping for the perfect faith. I am close to my maker and talk to him on a daily basis (prayer).
Our lord has been good to me and mine , but alas I do not attend or tithe to any organized church. I think that while my family may not benefit from my inability to be the Spiritual leader (by picking a church), they do benefit from my ability to hit my knees and ask Jesus for guidance.

5. Who is going to win this years Super Bowl and Why??
Sorry but I don't watch football either.........Who's Playing in it???
Thanks for the questions jonboy
Thanks for your time

Let me guess, your sister got you started on blogging. Mine did the same thing.
Good answers. I haven't really followed football much lately, either. But since the season was just starting, I thought I'd see what someone else thought.
Keep searching for a good church, but don't expect it to be perfect. After all, the people in the church are still just human and have a lot of faults. In fact, in a lot of ways, those who profess to be Christian can be a lot more difficult to deal with than other people. But a good congregation can be a source of strength when needed.

... and if you ever run into Dewaine, tell that no good punk that I'm still waiting for him to help me install my sprinkler system. And then make him take you to the golf course. :)

Fiberhawk: Since you and Janie are in the oil industry you might want to look occasionally at my Common Sense Agriculture, Conservation and Energy blog. I would certainly appreciate your insight and comments on the energy related posts especially. I don't know enough about the energy industry but I'm trying to "eddicate" myself!
